Its official … BIG 92.7 FM is coming to Puducherry. Though the date has not been finalised as yet, they will be probably hit the airwaves sometime in July. The station is organising an RJ hunt in Puducherry on June 30 at the Reliance Communications, the WebWorld, at 172, Kamarajar Salai from 10.30 am onwards. One of BIG 92.7 FM’s RJs from Chennai will also be present at the test.
According to a release from BIG 92.7 FM, anybody aspiring to become a radio jockey can come to the place on Saturday. There is no age limit as such, but their voice must be good with clear diction. They must also have good command of spoken Tamil and must be able to connect well with the audience.
A good sense of humour would also be needed.
They are looking for full-time as well as part-timers. Full time RJs will be handling entire programmes on their own and the part-timers, if they are college students they can go to outside assignments.
On Saturday, a voice test would be conducted along with a small aptitude test as to why they like to be an RJ and so on. There would be no written test.
There would be further screening in Chennai after which the selected RJs would be sent for training.
