Radio Iceland – an English-language radio station in Iceland – was saved from having to go off the air by a mystery investor.
Only yesterday, Radio Icelandannounced that they would have to go off the air, owing to revenue not being able to meet monthly expenses. This would have been a short life for the station, which first went on the air last February 16 on a mission to provide non-Icelandic speakers with a source for news and information on the radio.
